Hey folks! I was wondering how does one go abouts submitting ACT scores to colleges? Do I send them directly or is there a different process involved? It's my first time doing this and I'd really appreciate if you could give me some guidance here!
2 months agoHi there! The process of sending your ACT scores to colleges is quite straightforward. You'll send these scores directly from the ACT organization to your desired colleges.
When you register for the ACT exam, you'll have the option to select up to four colleges to send your scores to, and this is included in your initial test fee. If you're confident in your performance, this can be a timely and cost-effective way to send your scores.
If you decide to send your scores after you've taken the test or if you want to send your scores to more than four colleges, you'll need to send additional score reports. This can be done through your online ACT account. There is a fee for each additional score report you send.
Please note that some colleges allow you to self-report test scores on your application, meaning you declare what you scored and only send an official report if you decide to enroll. Check with each school to learn their policy.
Remember, if you took the ACT multiple times, you have the option to use ACT's Superscore reporting, which allows you to send scores from your highest achieved sections from different test dates. That being said, be sure to check whether your desired colleges accept Superscored reports, as not all do.
Make sure you send your scores several weeks in advance of any admissions deadline, given that it can take a few weeks for scores to be sent and processed by the colleges. Best of luck!
