An entrepreneur aspiring to set up an arms and/or ammunition manufacturing and/or proof-testing facility may obtain a licence by following the due procedure of the Arms Rules, 2016.
Institutions may acquire firearms and related ammunition to meet their defence requirements by obtaining the licence following the due procedure of the Arms Rules, 2016.

The Arms Act, 1959 and the Arms Rules, 2016, authorize an arms and ammunition dealer to carry on trade or business in arms and ammunition. A dealer’s licence may be obtained by following the due procedure of the Arms Rules, 2016.

This portal offers 29 services for the applicants. This facility provides impetus to the Make in India initiative of the Government of India by promoting ease of doing business.
