RA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY

NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Residents with J-2 visa need special authorization (i.e., work permit) from Immigration to be eligible for employment. If you do not have an F1 or J Visa, please contact the Office of International Students to ensure that this position would not jeopardize your status. International students are authorized to work 20 per week on campus.

BONA-FIDE OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: The applicant's sex as designated in the StuInfo system is a determining factor for placement in same-sex residential communities (i.e., male residential wing requires male-in-StuInfo RA). Students are responsible for providing and updating their gender information in the StuInfo system through the Registrar’s Office. The Department of Residence Education and Housing Services is dedicated to providing safe and comfortable living environments for all students, including those whose gender identity and/or expression differs from the sex assigned to them at birth.

Most RA positions are located in traditional residence halls for the academic year. There are a small number of RA positions that are located in Owen/Van Hoosen Halls and 1855 Place (which includes University Village) that have special requirements/differences as follows:
